MERRY CARVEN TO ME
After moving to London my laissez faire attitude to wardrobe extension has taken a back seat, and boring bills get all my money. My first Christmas away from home has meant that a little bit of extra cheer was needed to fill the gap of my family, so I’ve been treating myself to a new Carven wardrobe from the items above. So girly and so far from what I could have pictured myself in a year ago, I love every boiled wool, silk, and camel hair thread of it.
SISTER MIDNIGHT
Cover me in midnight blue and I’ll do anything for you. Tommy Ton has finally revamped his blog and it’s back to image thievery for ladies of all ages with an internet connection. Although hardly weather appropriate for the impending snowfall showers in London, the above images are pretty much all I’ve been living in – Denim shirt, white jeans, leather jackets and trainers… when I can get around to making the big switch from Vans to New Balance that is… still not entirely convinced that its a move I’ll look back on in a few years without a slight cringe, non?
IN A GADDA DA VIDA
My piece of the Garden of Eden / Souvenir from the Big Apple, tattooed by Daniel Santoro at Smith Street Tattoo, Brooklyn.
Never thought I’d ever add a colour piece to my collection of tattoos but I also never thought I’d get a snake or something so visible either – probably why I love it so much.
tour à paris
Not only does this make me miss my second home, it served as a reminder than one day I will learn to ride a motorbike like an insane Parisian and I can’t wait.
BRANCUSI
ACNE’s BRANCUSI Denim/Leather jacket situation came out months ago but the homage to 1950’s/painters outfits is still distracting me from the fact that it isn’t lined, is incredibly impractical, and definitely unattractive to prospective male suitors. I think I may have just convinced myself to go buy it.
POLTERGEISTS AND THE PARANORMAL
Maybe one of the greatest British charity store book scores ever to be had, POLTERGEISTS AND THE PARANORMAL was picked up by a friend of mine from a lonely little charity store in Essex last week for just £1. Written like it should be read by Gob Bluth, paired with the images above, and all about the super-freaky? If this book ever starts heading the way of being re-donated I’m going to have to intervene.
STOP IT RIGHT NOW
I just found another reason to move house: blogger STOP IT RIGHT NOW’s Celine SS11 print skateboards to hang above my bed. Hell no, there will be no scratching these babies with trucks, spray from the filthy London footpaths, or associated broken bones involved. It’s a straight out of the FedEx box and onto the wall affair.
See the girl who makes dreams reality here.
